I drew this one a while back when idiots were filling plastic bags with gasoline during a short term gas shortage back east. We are more than 18 months out since I started this series and I have less hope for the country now than I did then. Oh well.
Stay strong, brother. Besides, if nothing else, the ends times may be near, and all the pain will end. ;-)
ReplyDeleteSee, that's the kind of positivity and forward thinking the world needs. Grab some popcorns and watch it burn. :)
DeleteI may have told this story, but here goes:
DeleteI was in Baghdad and mortar attacks were a common thing, like every night. Sirens would go off, C-RAMs would fire, we would grab our gear and head to the bunker nearly every night. Was quite annoying. After about a month of this, I remember one night when the mortars were flying, I stepped out of my room and walked calmly towards the bunker. All the other soldiers were screaming "Run! Come on!" I continued to walk to the bunker. When asked about why I walked I simply replied "If God means for me to end right here, running to the bunker is not going to stop him."
Death comes for us all. How you go out says a lot. Do you go out kicking and screaming, or holding you sword and exclaiming "Come and get me!"
Dude, that's pretty effing metal. \m/
DeleteHas it been 18 months since the idiots were filling plastic bags with gasoline and putting it in their trunk? Man..
ReplyDelete"Come and Get Me!"
Eighteen months since the rona started raging and I began documenting the accelerated decline of the world. I tired to avoid the series and the news, but Dear God there's just so much that needs to be processed.
DeleteI look forward to the Gathans who eat horse dweomer. Er, I mean, dewormer. Self-inflicted and potentially-fatal explosive diarrhea is funny in that way that makes you cry.
ReplyDeleteI think "Self-inflicted and potentially-fatal explosive diarrhea" is the best phrase I have ever seen on this blog. :)
DeleteI am proud to be a part of it.
DeleteAnd it's probably not that potentially-fatal, but it added to the ambience.
Glad to see Gath is back. This post gives me an idea for a character class for Gath, along the lines of my Skellie Boy/Bony Babe class from a couple years ago. I might post in in a few days.
ReplyDeleteSounds good, my friend. A man just got his face slashed and eyeball gouged out by a freak on the beach with a machete. Gath is in full effect and sadly, live action.
DeleteHoly fuck. Is this the incident to which you refer?

Yeah, man, It's crazy. I used to fish in the surf a lot. I go less and less. The beaches are a no man's land in some places. West Gath here, I tell ya.
DeleteGlad to see you and others are still blogging. I mainly watch youtube channels now, but blogs are a nice change of pace. I may start blogging again soon.
ReplyDeleteHoly hell, man! It's good to see you! I hope all is well.
