I know I sound like a broken record, but boy did I enjoy Loviatar. So good.
I think I prefer the digest, multiple page format over the single sheet issues, probably because it's easier to sink into the themes and stories if you have to read a couple of pages.
It was a fine little zine! Thank you for enjoying it so much. I'm so conflicted on the issue of zine production. While I love the classic digest format, I also struggle with the amount of work it takes.
In other news, I ordered the 5e books. Again. I'm sending them back to Amazon. Again. I feel so out of step with the hobby.

Maybe it's time for you to write your own retro-clone...? I can provide shitty artwork for free if you need.
DeleteActually, I think a game designed by you would be phenomenal. The magic system alone would be worth the price of admission!
DeleteOut of step with the hobby... goddamn do I feel this lately.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on your zineversary
Thanks, my friend! May we both find our gaming sweet spot!
DeleteYeeeeeah, that's not going so great here in the Midwest, unfortunately.
