I really liked the 2e DM's screen. It was yellow with a dragon on the cover. I had a hard time finding an affordable one on eBay, so I made my own. Perhaps it's even better as I am assured of having only the tables I need.
Very nice! I just found my old 2E screen this past weekend as I was cleaning out my mother's basement. Unfortunately it had taken some damage. I remorsefully threw it away.
It was a pretty decent screen if I recall. Time makes all things seem grand, so it may have sucked. Perhaps all of the hours sitting behind it gave me a favorable impression. :) Too bad you had to ditch yours.
My memory is that it was a decent screen, as well. The crap component, of course, was the included module, "Terrible Trouble at Tragidor". It was indeed "terrible trouble" to run that pile. #rimshot
Great use of art on the front of the screen, there! Four out of five stars - I'm deducting one star for covering up the side-bewbage on the lady thief holding the mirror. ;D
Nice screen. I like the idea of a homemade screen a lot, since commercial ones almost always have some table(s) that you don't need in actual play, and almost always neglect something that you desperately need.

Maybe I can pencil it in. ;)
DeleteGroovy. You can always sell yours on eBay when you are done with it.
ReplyDeleteI hear there's a lot of money to be made in homemade screens. Fame and fortune await me!
DeleteYou could add a soundtrack when unfolded, like those musical greeting cards. Not sure that a Hoops & Yoyo song will work with most gamers, though.
DeleteDoh! Now you're using peer pressure on me to make my ow screen! :P
ReplyDeleteLOL Too cool, Chris, very nice.
And I really should make myself one.
