Legends of Gath #49; Jezebel's Choking Hands

On Friday nights we have virtual Shabbat. The organizer was asking for people to speak at upcoming meetings. I was thinking about doing readings from the Book of Gath. Light the candles, sip the sparkling cider, eat the hallah and delight in the wonders of Gath. Perfect.

  1. Awesome post! I love how you tie in scripture into the setting. Strong work!

    1. Thanks, man! I was talking to a buddy on the phone before shabbat and he said the funniest thing. "Dude, that's hardcore that you are into the Old Testament. Old Testament God did not play around."

I laughed. And he's right. It was heretics getting consumed by fire and lions/bears devouring people if they got the wrong answer to the pop quiz of some random prophet.

      Good times. Heh.

    2. I think encounters like this also work without historical/biblical context. On the surface there's a cace with a cairn in the back and a skeleton. There is some writing on the wall indicating that this is the tomb a worshipper of Baal. When the hands attack, well, that's freaky. Investigating the cairn reveals two feet and a part of a skull. Mysterious indeed. Another Gath puzzler...

  2. Hidden in a small niche at E3 is a vial of Jezebel's Maquillage. Jezebel, was known to wear copious amounts of makeup, this last vial of her cosmetics, has become tainted with her evil. While applying the makeup will give the wearer a +2 bonus to the wearer's Charisma, the makeup must be applied daily to continue the bonus, it is in fact cursed and failure to apply the makeup every day will result in a permanent -2 penalty to the wearer's Charisma. A Remove Curse will break the evil.
