Legends of Gath #34; The Holy Blade of Judge Ehud

"His bowels discharged." I think I have a new favorite Bible verse, fellas.

  1. Another victim of the waste intersected with steel, but killed by malcontent. The Great Imbiber will bless this one. A drop of wine and a short prayer to sooth the spirit. I praise you fallen brother. There is much mystery about you. Your story entices me. And the blade you hold, so beautiful. I may not know your name, but I will remember you. This sword, a gift of The Great Imbiber, who serves and delivers to us what we need in these times. Rest your spirit now fallen brother and may you tell me your story in the afterlife.

    1. I may be teaching summer school this year, so why not vacation Bible school? We could explore Gath each day in class. Good times!

    2. Kings 2:23–24 seems like the kind of thing you'd learn about in Gath vacation Bible school.

  4. I really love Judges. Deborah is probably my favorite, though. She took no shit from anyone.

    1. This section from Deborah is particularly gangster: "But Jael, Heber’s wife, picked up a tent peg and a hammer and went quietly to him while he lay fast asleep, exhausted. She drove the peg through his temple into the ground, and he died."
