Stuck in a Meeting Map

I'm scribbling away here in a meeting, trying to get ready for an upcoming session. My concept for a location is an observatory that looks deep into the earth instead of peering skyward. We'll see how it goes.

     Hmmm...it appears I can't spell observatory.

  1. Always love your meeting maps. Although, your one telescope looks like it needs a little Viagra or at least a fluff girl.

    1. Thanks, Trey. Focusing on a map keeps me from losing my marbles during staff meetings. That, and I get bonus points for looking like I'm taking notes. ;)

  3. Great map. I suspect if people could see what you were actually doing they wouldn't understand it and would just assume you were taking notes.

    1. I managed to recruit one of my co-workers for our group. As soon as he said he knew the names of the magic swords from the Hobbit, I knew he was good to go. :)

    1. Thanks, Cygnus. I'm trying to figure out if the entities beneath the earth know they are being spied upon and if so, how do they feel about it. No one likes a peeping Tom.

  5. I love the idea of a telescope for observing things under the ground. It implies some weird things are possible, too, which I could run with.

    1. I am definitely going with some non-standard ideas as far as my style is concerned. I really struggle with fantasy, so I thought I'd try to have some fun this go around.

  6. Some of my best game prep happens in meetings.

    1. Game prep is generally way more entertaining that what usually happens in meetings.

  7. Cool idea! Are there beings down below gazing up "at the stars", wondering if there's any intelligent life out there... (same question I ask myself everyday at work)

    1. I think there might be a few Drow maidens who are indignant at the surface "Peeping Toms." :)
